Description
Pure Pearl Powder contains many biologically active constituents that have been proven to enhance human health. It is rich in precious minerals, amino acids, enzymes, and important co-factors that make it one of the most profound anti-aging tonic substances on Earth.
Perhaps Pearl Powder’s most well-known benefit is for smoothing and purifying the skin complexion. Aside from the living proof that the ageless women of the Orient provide, studies have reviled that pearl powder can help correct hyper pigmentation by inhibiting the overproduction of melanin. Although a helpful, antioxidant-like protein, excessive melanin can causes hyper-pigmented skin or uneven, blotch skin, excess freckles and dark patches. The use of Pearl internally and externally can help to correct this imbalance often caused by aging, excessive sun exposure, and stress and restore the skin to a more youthful and bright condition.
Additional benefits of Pearl Powder include:
- Resilient Skin: Pearl contains a variety of amino acids, which provide the structural building blocks for the skin tissue. Therefore, the use of Pearl may help improve collagen synthesis, cellular repair, skin hydration, and protect skin from pollution and toxins.
- Rich in Minerals: Pear powder contains over 30 trace minerals, including some of the more scarce elements that people tend to be deficient in including, magnesium, silica and calcium. The natural occurring calcium carbonate alone can help to support proper thyroid function, which in turn promotes healthy skin regeneration, oiliness and moisture. Calcium supports the thyroid gland in regulating sebum production and cell turnover. Also, when the body is deficient in calcium, parathyroid increases along side prolactin, which increase the calcification of the skin, leading to fibrotic, scaly skin. Increasing calcium intake can help to prevent this, ensuring the calcium stays in the bones/teeth where it belongs.
- Antioxidant Protection: In addition to being a rich source of nutrition, pearl powder increases the production of the bodies two most powerful antioxidants: superoxide dismutase (SOD) and glutathione. These antioxidants help to protect every cell in the body from stress, aging and disease. Low levels of these antioxidants, paired with a high level of reactive oxygen spices (free radicals) contributes not only to wrinkles, and skin aging, but nearly every disease imaginable.1
- Porcelain Skin: Traditional Chinese Medicine texts suggest that regular use of pearl powder can eliminate blemishes such as age spots and fine lines. Its antioxidants and micronutrients also help to protect the skin from the stress of aging, supporting more graceful aging that is more resistant to stressors. Pearl also contains nacre, a substance that has been found to stimulate fibroblasts in the body, which accelerates wound healing and skin regeneration. This can also help collagen regenerate itself, which may make wrinkles appear less prominent.2
- Anti-Stress: In TCM, Pearl Powder is considered a powerful “Shen” stabilizer, which translates loosely to spirit. According to TCM theory, Shen tonics like pearl support the mood, relieving uneasiness, nervousness, anxiety and tension. In other words, Pearl Powder is an adaptogen to the nervous system and helps to ease stress. As a result, it may also use help to restore energy and vitality, since stress interferes with our cells ability to produce energy. Pearl contains a good amount of magnesium, which has an ability to elevate gamma aminobutyric acid (GABA) levels, suppressing the stress hormone cortisol and reducing depression, anxiety, and certain sleep disorders.
Our Pearl Powder is 100% pure “organic” micronized pearl. It has been tested for purity and quality, and contains sufficient levels of calcium carbonate and phosphate, magnesium carbonate, zinc, iron, strontium, copper, selenium, silicon, titanium, ferric oxide and silica.
How to Use
Pearl powder can be added to smoothies, juice or water. It can also be taken simply by mixing 1/4 tsp. into raw honey. You can also apply it topically to improve skin pigmentation, reduce inflammation and oxidative stress and as an anti-aging remedy. However, we feature pearl powder in both Lush and Glo already.
Ingredients: 100% Pure Micronized Pearl Powder
Size: 60 grams
Serving Size: 1/4 tsp.
Pearl powder contains 90-92% active calcium, of which the pure calcium amount reaches 38-40%. In 1 tsp. you get roughly 2g of pearl power. Therefore, 1/4 tsp = 500 mg of pearl powder. Of that is roughly 40% pure calcium carbonate or 250 mg. A full tsp of pearl powder will give you close to 1,000 mg of calcium carbonate.

I’ve been adding pearl powder to my coffee or smoothie every morning for the past 5 months. I have noticed a drastic difference in my face & pores when I dust some on my face at night before bed. I always have pearl powder readily available everyday. This is a beauty must have in my book.

Hi, interested in purchasing but I can’t find this info on your website (sorry if I have overlooked!) but is your Pearl or Pearl+ powder heavy metals tested? I’ve noticed other TCM brands stating their cosmetic-grade/food grade pearl powder does not exceed heavy metals and is safe to ingest. May I ask if this testing is done with your product(s)?

Hello!
Yes, we get our Pearl from a reputable, organic certified facility with high demand. As a key supplier to Europe, who has high standards, they have to test all their product. We have a COA for the Pearl which shows it conforms, so you can email us if you’d like!
